In the moments leading up to the stabbing, tensions had escalated between the two men due to a history involving the suspect’s daughter. She had previously dated Antoniou and reported receiving a threatening message from him, prompting her to inform her father.

CCTV footage from a nearby kiosk captured the moment the suspect approached Antoniou’s vehicle with his hand concealed in his pocket. He then opened the car door and attacked Antoniou, striking a fatal blow to his carotid artery.
