The Cypriot startup ecosystem shone brightly at Slush 2025, with a delegation of 14 innovative startups showcasing their potential in Helsinki. Organised by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), this event attracted over 13,000 attendees, including 3,500 investors and 6,000 startup founders from around the globe.

Among the participating startups were Sim4Flow, Movingdoors, Wedding Aliens, Mentormatic, and Mamatech, each presenting groundbreaking solutions across sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, medical technology, and sustainable development. This platform allowed the Cypriot entrepreneurs to connect with international investors and peers, facilitating collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
Highlighting Cyprus as a Technology Hub
During the event, members of the Cypriot delegation underscored the strength of their local R&I ecosystem. RIF General Director Theodoros Loukaidis remarked, “Cyprus is now home to a new generation of visionary founders who prove that innovation knows no borders.” His comments reflect the growing sentiment that Cyprus is emerging as a significant technology hub in southeastern Europe.

RIF’s initiatives aim to strengthen Cypriot startups, attract private investment, and foster international growth. Loukaidis reiterated the importance of their presence at Slush, stating, “Our participation highlights the ecosystem’s momentum, as well as Cyprus’ willingness to actively participate in the global wave of technological progress.”
