Cyprus recently showcased its culinary excellence at the ANUGA 2025 international food and drink exhibition in Cologne, Germany. Held from October 4 to October 8, this prestigious event featured a national pavilion that highlighted the offerings of over 30 Cypriot businesses.
The participation was orchestrated by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, in collaboration with the Cyprus Commercial Centre in Berlin. This initiative aimed to bolster the visibility of Cypriot products on a global stage.
The pavilion attracted a significant number of visitors, including industry professionals from around the world, eager to explore what Cyprus has to offer. Among the products presented were the beloved halloumi cheese, high-quality olive oil, olives, honey, traditional sweets, bakery items, and various beverages including juices and soft drinks.
Exhibitors at the fair not only emphasised the traditional expertise that defines Cypriot cuisine but also showcased innovative approaches that characterise the modern food and drink industry in Cyprus. This blend of tradition and innovation resonated well with attendees, reinforcing the island’s reputation for quality.
ANUGA is recognised as the world’s largest food and drink trade fair, this year gathering more than 8,000 exhibitors from 120 countries and welcoming over 145,000 visitors from 190 nations. This vast international presence provided Cypriot companies with invaluable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and promotion.
The impressive representation of Cyprus at ANUGA 2025 served to underline the dynamism and competitive spirit of Cypriot products. The national pavilion was described as a significant highlight of the fair, demonstrating that Cypriot offerings can compete effectively in the most demanding international markets.
