Competing in the Junior Individual Time Trial, the Cypriot champion finished in an impressive 18th place out of 47 participants on Tuesday, 23rd September. For a significant portion of the race, she occupied the ‘hot seat’, holding the fastest time before being overtaken by her rivals.

Reflecting on her race, Saphiri expressed mixed feelings. “I know my position is excellent, but I feel a bit disappointed as I lost crucial seconds due to tactical errors that could have placed me in the top ten,” she remarked.
