This event is a significant opportunity for Hadjimanoli to engage with industry leaders and discuss the future of maritime practices within the context of sustainability.
During her visit, Hadjimanoli is scheduled to meet with Saudi’s Transport Minister, Saleh Al Jasser, along with several representatives from the shipping industry based in Saudi Arabia. The meetings aim to foster collaboration and explore new avenues for Cypriot shipping.
In an announcement made prior to her trip, Hadjimanoli expressed her intentions to promote Cypriot maritime interests while seeking potential partnerships between Cyprus and Saudi Arabia within the shipping sector.
This visit follows an earlier invitation extended by Minister Al Jasser, who travelled to Cyprus in late August 2024. During his visit, Al Jasser toured the upgraded infrastructure and operations at the Eurogate Container Terminal in Limassol. This terminal is a vital component of the Cypriot economy, and discussions during his visit centred on its role as a key trade hub connecting the Middle East, Egypt, and Europe.
Hadjimanoli’s participation in the conference underlines Cyprus’s commitment to sustainable shipping practices and highlights the importance of international cooperation in addressing the challenges faced by the maritime industry.
