Emergency services responded swiftly, deploying four fire engines from Nicosia. They were joined by an engine from the forestry department, as well as support from the game and fauna service. Volunteers from SupportCY and five private excavators already operating in the vicinity also contributed to the firefighting efforts.

This blaze followed an earlier incident on the same day, where a separate fire had already consumed about two hectares of similar vegetation and waste. That earlier fire caused damage to an abandoned building before being brought under control.
