In the girls’ K20 category, Siapani and Christoforou delivered an unforgettable match against Hungarian opponents Sárik Veres and Matkovics. The nail-biting contest ended with a score of 2-1, with the decisive tie-breaker showcasing the resilience and skill of our athletes. They clinched the final three points of the match, winning 17-15 amid rapturous applause from the home crowd present at the Federal Beach Volleyball Facilities in Agios Tychonas.

The Cypriot duo has demonstrated exceptional form throughout the tournament, achieving four consecutive victories leading up to the finals. Their ability to maintain composure under pressure, particularly in the tie-breaker, speaks volumes about their preparation and tactical awareness. With an impressive record, they now aim for gold against the Israeli team of Nachshoni and Maor, scheduled for 19:30 on Sunday.
