During this extensive operation, police made several arrests for various offences, including burglary, theft, and assaulting a police officer. The four individuals apprehended were also charged with illegal presence in Cyprus and violations of outstanding fine warrants.

Checks and Inspections

Officers carried out checks on 662 drivers and 208 passengers throughout the night. In addition to these checks, police inspected 64 premises, resulting in 11 reported violations. The operation’s proactive measures were designed to tackle delinquency and promote a sense of safety in the community.

Traffic Violations and Enforcement

Traffic enforcement was also a significant aspect of the operation, with 212 reports filed for various violations. Among these, 92 drivers were booked for speeding, and seven vehicles were impounded for further investigation. In total, police conducted 353 breathalyser tests, leading to 22 reports, while one driver tested positive in a preliminary drug screening.
