A highlight of the mission was the presence of Stavros Avgoustides, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Athens, at the exhibition in the capital. His attendance emphasised the importance of the initiative and its role in fostering educational and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Strengthening Business and Investment Relations
In addition to promoting educational opportunities, the Keve mission also focused on strengthening business and investment relations between Cyprus and Greece. Meetings were held with influential figures in both regions to discuss potential collaborations.
In Crete, notable discussions took place with:
- Vangelis Karkanakis, President of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Iosif Kypraios Papadimitriou, Commercial Counsellor of the Trade Service
In Athens, further meetings were conducted with:
- Eleni Foti, Director of International Trade Relations at the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry
- Ioustini Devetzi, Head of the European Affairs Department

Representing the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Stalo Demosthenous, Director of the Trade Services and Digitalisation Department, participated actively in the mission. Her involvement reflects Keve’s commitment to actions that enhance Cyprus’ status as a regional educational hub.
“Keve continues to support actions that strengthen Cyprus’ position as a regional educational hub, contributing actively to skills development and the bridging of education with entrepreneurship and labour market needs,” the announcement stated.
