cyprus repatriates — cyprus repatriates — Cyprus has repatriated 805 nationals from high-risk areas across five flights, with two additional flights scheduled to arrive on Friday, according to Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis.

Letymbiotis provided updates during a press briefing at the Presidential Palace Press Centre, highlighting the arrival of two flights on the same day. One flight brought back 145 compatriots, while the second flight, which landed shortly before his announcement, carried 148 passengers.

The government is actively monitoring the situation and adjusting plans to utilise every available means of transport for the safe return of its citizens. Letymbiotis reassured the public that additional repatriation flights are already in the pipeline, with further options being explored to ensure all Cypriots currently abroad can return home safely.

“We call on them once again to register on the connectcy platform and to contact the Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management call centre, which operates around the clock,” Letymbiotis urged, emphasising the importance of communication during this challenging time.

The coordinated efforts by the authorities, primarily managed by the Foreign Ministry, reflect a commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of Cypriots abroad. As the situation evolves, the government remains vigilant and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
