Addressing the attendees, Christodoulides urged, “I want to publicly call on anyone who has evidence of direct or indirect bribery during my election campaign, or during my time as President of the Republic, to submit it immediately to the state authorities.” He emphasised his commitment to transparency, asserting that he will not allow accusations of corruption to go unchallenged.
The president reiterated his efforts to attract foreign investments, which he claims have been beneficial for Cyprus. “We saw today the results of my visit to the United States, with the announcement of American investments in our country,” he noted, highlighting the positive outcomes of his diplomatic engagements.
Moreover, Christodoulides stressed the importance of corporate social responsibility among companies that invest in Cyprus. He stated, “For the state, I want to repeat, for the state – and they do this in the sectors of health, the welfare state, defence and many other sectors.” This underlines his administration’s focus on ensuring that economic growth also contributes to the well-being of society.
