Andreas Yiasemides has been elected as the next CEO of PwC Cyprus, a decision confirmed by the firm on Friday. He will officially take over the role on July 1, 2026, succeeding the current CEO, Philippos Soseilos, who will support a seamless transition until December 31, 2026.

Leadership Transition at PwC Cyprus

The election marks a significant moment for PwC Cyprus, with Yiasemides set to lead the firm for a four-year term, from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2030. The handover of responsibilities is scheduled for June 30, 2026, ensuring continuity during this pivotal change.

Andreas Yiasemides: A Proven Leader

Currently a Partner in Advisory services and the Partner in Charge of Fund Services, Yiasemides also leads Clients and Markets for the firm and is a member of the PwC Cyprus Management Board. His journey with PwC began in 1999, and he became a Partner in 2016.

His academic credentials include a first-class degree in Economics from the University of Manchester. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. Yiasemides brings extensive experience beyond PwC, having previously led the Custody and Trusts Unit at the Bank of Cyprus and managed Fund Services at another professional services firm. His leadership roles have also included positions on the Boards of the Bank of Cyprus and the Central Bank of Cyprus, as well as chairing the Board of the Cyprus Investment Fund Association.

In addressing his new role, Yiasemides expressed a commitment to ensuring that PwC Cyprus continues to thrive in a competitive environment. “We will work collectively and diligently to ensure that PwC Cyprus retains its leading position in professional services,” he stated. He emphasised the importance of investing in innovation, nurturing talent, and building strong client relationships.

Current CEO Philippos Soseilos congratulated Yiasemides on his appointment, highlighting the professionalism and unity demonstrated by the PwC Partners during the election process. Soseilos acknowledged the exemplary election process managed by the Oversight Board, which has fostered trust and credibility within the partnership. He also expressed gratitude for the support received from the PwC Network throughout this transition.
