Cyprus Airways has launched an exciting codeshare agreement with Air France, connecting Larnaca Airport (LCA) with Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This partnership promises to enhance travel options with up to six flights a week during the summer season, starting from July 7, 2026.
The collaboration allows both airlines to display each other’s flight codes, optimising the travel experience for passengers. According to Cyprus Airways and Air France, this agreement significantly boosts connectivity to Air France’s vast network from the bustling hub of Paris, providing year-round connection opportunities.
Cyprus airways: Strengthening Connectivity for Passengers
Thanos Paschalis, Chief Executive Officer of Cyprus Airways, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnership, stating, “Our cooperation with Air France marks a significant step forward for Cyprus Airways and confirms the growing confidence in our network and our services.” He noted that this agreement not only enhances Cyprus’s connectivity with France but also provides Cypriot passengers with seamless access to numerous global destinations.
Expanded Flight Options from Paris
Noud Duyzings, Senior Vice President for the Netherlands and International Markets at Air France-KLM, highlighted the benefits of the new agreement, stating that it “further strengthens connectivity between France and Cyprus.” He added that the partnership offers customers an expanded flight programme, facilitating travel between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Larnaca, along with convenient connections to Air France’s extensive network.
Interline Agreement Enhances Travel Flexibility
In addition to the codeshare agreement, Cyprus Airways and Air France have established an interline agreement. This arrangement covers flights between Larnaca and Milan Malpensa (MXP) as well as Athens (ATH), and likewise for Air France flights from Paris to these two cities. This further enhances travel flexibility and options for passengers, making it easier to explore more destinations.
The partnership is set to make Cyprus more accessible to international visitors while offering Cypriots greater travel choices. With the summer season approaching, the airlines are optimistic about the positive impact of this collaboration on travel between Cyprus and France.
