The price of a standard daytime urban ticket will increase from €2.40 to €2.70, while a nighttime one-way ticket, available from 9pm, will see a jump from €4.20 to €4.70.
For those using Motion cards, the costs will also go up. Daytime route fares will rise from €1.80 to €2, and nighttime routes will increase from €2.60 to €3.50. This change follows a series of fare adjustments that began in September 2023, when daytime ticket prices moved from €2 to €2.40. Nighttime fares were last altered on March 1, when they increased from €4 to €4.20, up from €3.50 prior to the September hike.
Rural route fares are also affected, rising from 60 cents to 70 cents. Additionally, fares for various discounted options, including weekly, monthly, and annual tickets, will see increases. However, yearly tickets for school students will remain unchanged at €30.
Notably, there have been no fare changes announced for the bus systems in Paphos, Limassol, Ayia Napa, and Protaras, which each charge €2 for a standard daytime one-way ticket. As these adjustments take effect in August, passengers are encouraged to prepare for the new fare structure.
