In one supermarket, the cost of the cheapest basket was €171.05, starkly contrasted by the most expensive option at €232.55, leading to a difference of €61.50. Another supermarket displayed a €65.60 gap, while the most significant difference recorded was €66.91, with baskets priced at €187.62 and €254.53 respectively. The smallest spread was €43.49, where the cheapest basket cost €163.74, and the priciest reached €207.23.

Monthly Savings Potential

The consumer protection service estimates that households making similar purchases weekly could save between €174 and €268 monthly by consistently choosing lower priced products without sacrificing quantity or essential items.
