Cypriot lawyer Stavros Pavlou has been appointed as a new member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). This notable appointment follows a proposal from the ICC Cyprus National Committee, as announced by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve).
The ICC World Council confirmed Pavlou’s appointment during its meeting on June 11, 2026. The court, which plays a pivotal role in resolving international commercial disputes, is headquartered in Paris.

Pavlou is recognised for his expertise in cross-border transactions, particularly in corporate and commercial matters. His professional affiliations include membership in the ICC Cyprus National Committee and representation on the ICC Commission on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He is also a member of esteemed organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution, among others.
